73 migrants haïtiens ont été interceptés le 16 octobre 2017 à French Cay, un îlot situé au Sud-est des ÃŽles Turques-et-Caïques, rapporte le Groupe d’Appui aux Réfugiés et Rapatriés (GARR). Selon les informations fournies par les autorités de ce territoire d’outre mer britannique, ces migrants haïtiens ont été transportés à Providenciales, une île de l’archipel des Turques et Caïques.
Les ressortissants haïtiens tentaient d’aller s’installer irrégulièrement aux ÃŽles Turques-et-Caïques. Ils seront déportés sous peu vers Haïti, ont annoncé les autorités.
