Le meneur de jeu avait inscrit 42 points dont 15 en 4e quarter à 13/21 dont 8/13 à trois points, 4 rebonds et 11passes décisives. C’est son meilleur total de la saison, à 7 longueurs de son record en carrière etabli à 49 en mars dernier.
À 21 ans, Young devient le plus jeune Joueur de l’histoire à réaliser 3 matchs consécutifs à au moins 30 points et 10 passes. D’autres joueurs comme Oscar Robertson, Kevin Johnson et LeBron James l’avaient fait à 22 ans.
