Le séisme du 6 octobre a fait 17 morts selon les autorités, 9 à Port-de-Paix, 7 à Gros-Morne et un à St Louis du Nord ainsi que 333 blessés selon le dernier bilan publié par la Protection Civile. Les autorités indiquent que 7.783 familles sont en besoin d‘assistance humanitaire urgente.
